Compendium of Curiosities Challenge Week 7

I sure am tired today...we spent the day on the Whitewater River in a canoe...great fun, but tiring. And i got home only to realize I hadn't finished or posted this weeks challenge....yikes. I really had to rush this one and I'm not pleased with quite a few aspects of it, but...as I like to say..."there are no mistakes in art".

So, without further ado...here is my entry for the challenge that the lovely Linda over at StudioL3 is hosting. It features my dear sweet boy, Maxwell Smart (or just Max for short). I'm planning to use this as a scrapbook page embellishment, so I started out by printing a bunch of words that I think of when I think of Max onto a 12" long strip of Club Scrap paper (old paper...from the Bugs collection). I inked it with all kinds of lovely DI's and then colored my fabric thickers with Shabby Shutters. The Filmstrip was cut with my QK Silhouette from some white cardstock which I inked with Black Soot. The fragment...well, that's the secret this week; but the answers can all be found in T!m's wonderful Compendium of Curiosities (this particular technique is on page 55), so go out and get yourself a copy for pity sake!!!

  1. Chrissie, I love it! Maxwell is a very handsome guy (and those photos are DARLING!), and you really did a beautiful job with the tinted fragments technique! This is one of those pieces that makes me feel happy, and I'm so glad you were able to fit it into your busy weekend!
