ColourQ Challenge Thank You

Since I received so many wonderful gifts from all my crafty friends for my birthday, I spent some time yesterday working on proper Thank You's. This one uses a stamp & embossing folder set from Stampin Up  called Wildflower Meadow along with white embossing powder & Tim Holtz yummy distress inks (Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers & Salty Ocean) on plain white cardstock. Sentiment from Rubber Stampede. Lime green card base is from Club Scrap's Culinary kit.

Confirmation

I was in quick need of a confirmation card for a special someone and I found this beautiful example online last night. Ironically, it used the only stampin up die I own (since i do most cutting on my Silhouette) and I already had a dove shape in my Sil library. Anyway, I knew Club Scrap's Vogue collection was just the perfect paper for this and that embossing folder was just sitting on my table...like it was all meant to be! I cannot believe how quickly it came together (that almost never happens for me!)

Inspired by InkspiredTreasures

When I saw this card on Connie Babbert's Inkspired Treasures blog, I was more than inspired, I was determined to copy it! I just put it in the mail a few hours ago to my BF's sister.

She uses a new Stampin Up punch called Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. I was in love at first site, so I created a similar (very similar) version in the Silhouette Software and made myself a bunch of bouquets!! I love cutting these kinds of embellishments in white and having them on hand when I'm doing a card. I can grab a handful, use my distress inks, and color them any shade I need!!
