Corner Stamp from Club Scrap

Here's another Christmas Card I made on Friday. Created using one corner stamp from Club Scrap. I stamped it several times and cut out each triangle, then formed them into the tree shape. Added some gold ultra fine glitter here and there...and presto, done. It's simple, but interesting

Color Throwdown #169 - Christmas card

I spent some quality time with a great friend this past Friday making cards. She had a goal of 15 and i think she got pretty darn close. I didn't have any particular goal, but i knew i wanted to make a mix of traditional and non-traditional Christmas Cards. I found this challenge at Color Throwdown and I knew it was perfect!!

All paper is Club Scrap except the snowflakes.

Here's the only Thanksgiving Day card I had time to make and I hope the recipient doesn't see it here before it arrives to her doorstep (but that is a possibility!)

This follows a sketch challenge posted by my sister at Club Scrap. I used a silhouette cut I made from the Outlines posies set and inked 3 in different colors (aged mahagoney, mustard seed and orange marmalade), cut them apart and mixed and matched the pieces to form the turkeys feathers. The body of the turkey is a very old punch from my stash of a christmas tree. I found the turkey face/neck online and printed it out then colored it with markers. All Club Scrap papers, but all from my scrap drawer, so I couldn't tell you what kits.

Inspiration Canvas with Hearts

Way back in the Spring, i wrote this post about the wonderful class I took from Jennifer McGuire. Well, some time ago, I finished the project completely but hadn't posted it yet.

Now, I'm taking an online class from Jennifer that is very very much the same, but with some wonderful bonuses and additional techniques. If you ever get the chance to take a class from her either online or in person, I highly recommend it. She's amazing and just so darn sweet!

This time around, I'm doing maple leaf shapes and in fall colors. Stay tuned as I hope to post a finished (or near finished) project in the next week.

Inspiration Canvas Class w/Jennifer & Shari

I'm not going to bore you with all the details, but here are a few pics from my class yesterday with Jennifer McGuire & Shari Carroll.

It was loads of fun and very very inky. I should have taken a picture of my hands when we were done! My Club Scrap friend Erin joined me (her driving down from Findlay, OH on a lucky whim!). Me driving up from Cincinnati to meet in Kettering Ohio at a delightful scrapbook store called Simply Scrapbooks.

The finished canvas in the lower right is not my own. It's Jennifer's sample. All of my individual hearts are done, but I absentmindedly forgot the actual canvas, so I need to see if the store can send it to me :(. I may just use a canvas I have on hand and I'll post my completed project soon i hope.

Grungy Monday & Squirrely Challenge - Free Standing Pop Up Card & Winner announced

Here's my submission for Nancy's Squirrely Challenge; yes, i finally re-joined the group!

Papers, Stamps & Fibers are from the Club Scrap kit called Castaway, except the beads which are from Into The Wild-which is no longer available :( . You can't really see it, but i put a drop of liquid pearls in pearl for the oyster shell's pearl. Followed tutorial on Splitcoast stampers for the paper engineering and Studio L3's Grungy Monday 08 technique shown here by T!m Holtz.

I may also use this for my GM submission as well. Undecided since it breaks from my norm of 8x8 page w/song inspiration. just rambing here...pay no attention.**UPDATE** I have decided to also make this my GM submission since time is running short and I'll be gone all day taking a class in Dayton from Jennifer Mcguire and Shari Carroll and I'm going to use this as my THANK YOU to one of them!! Omigosh, you can imagine my excitement!
